Dr. Samuel Redmond is an American labor economist, academic, and organized crime figure based in Los Santos. He served for many years as a university professor specializing in labor economics and labor law and later attained emeritus status. In parallel, Samuel Redmond operated as a senior strategist and board member within the M.A.N. Agency. Following the Agency’s dissolution in 2016, Samuel Redmond was widely regarded as its unofficial successor and the principal authority among remaining loyalists.

Samuel Redmond is the chief executive officer of Redmond Group, a corporate entity that functions as the informal successor to the M.A.N. Agency’s remaining labor and industrial networks. He also runs the new syndicate in the east of Los Santos.

Samuel Redmond is married to Beth Redmond. He is the father of John Redmond and Lily Redmond, the uncle-in-law of Jamie Evans, and the adoptive father of Mátyás Redmond-Vizsla. Through his daughter Lilly, he is the father-in-law of Jack Donovan and the grandfather of Victor Donovan.

Life before GTA RP Events (1964 - 2016)

Samuel Redmond was born in 1964 in Los Santos in a rich family with strong socialist values. Samuel Redmond’s paternal family traced its origins to minor Irish nobility. This heritage formed part of the family’s identity and informed their views on labor, class, and historical inequality.

Samuel Redmond’s father was employed as a factory worker in Los Santos. Through his father, Samuel Redmond was exposed at an early age to industrial labor conditions, including unsafe environments, long working hours, and limited worker protections. These experiences played a significant role in shaping Samuel Redmond’s interest in justice, equality, and improved working conditions.

Acedemic career (1982 - 1992)

Samuel Redmond began his academic trajectory in the early 1980s. After completing undergraduate studies, he entered postgraduate education in labor economics and labor law during the mid-1980s.

In 1982, Samuel Redmond met Beth Evans. At the time, Samuel Redmond was 18 years old, and Beth Evans was 21 years old. Their relationship began prior to Samuel Redmond’s formal academic career.

In 1983, Beth Evans gave birth to John Redmond. Following the birth, Samuel Redmond’s father required the couple to marry, formalizing the relationship. The marriage secured financial and social stability for the young family. In 1985, Beth Redmond gave birth to their second child, Lily Redmond. During the early years of his marriage, Samuel Redmond relied heavily on financial support from his parents. The Redmond family’s industrial wealth allowed him to continue university studies despite having two children at a young age. Tuition, housing, and living expenses were subsidized by his father’s business interests.

Between 1987 and 1992, Samuel Redmond taught labor economics and labor law as a graduate instructor and later as a lecturer while completing doctoral studies. Introduction in the M.A.N. Agency (1992 - 2000)

In 1992, representatives of the M.A.N. Agency approached Samuel Redmond. At the time, Samuel Redmond was both an emerging academic in labor economics and actively working within his father’s company, Redmond Group. In addition to his university responsibilities, he held managerial and strategic oversight roles in the family’s industrial operations in La Mesa and Cypress Flats.

The M.A.N. Agency viewed Redmond Group’s industrial footprint as a gateway to supply chains, workforce leverage, and logistical infrastructure. Samuel Redmond, in turn, recognized the opportunity to extend his influence beyond conventional industry into broader institutional power structures. By the mid-1990s, Samuel Redmond was operating as an asset of the M.A.N. Agency, focusing on labor manipulation, union control, and regulatory leverage.

Within the Agency, Samuel Redmond oversaw operations involving workforce coercion, union infiltration, strike suppression, and labor-based control of industrial sectors. His methods emphasized long-term structural dominance rather than rapid capital accumulation. Samuel Redmond’s position later placed him in direct operational overlap with Alexander Morrison following Morrison’s recruitment in 1995. The Agency deliberately structured this overlap to prevent consolidation of economic power under a single individual.

Around 2000, following the death of his father, Samuel Redmond formally inherited and assumed executive control of Redmond Group. Under his leadership, the company consolidated its industrial holdings in La Mesa and Cypress Flats while maintaining its formal corporate legitimacy.

Vladivostok Operation (1998)

In 1998, Samuel Redmond led an M.A.N. Agency economic operation in Vladivostok, Russia. The mission was conducted in coordination with the Agency’s regional contact and took place during the post-Soviet privatization period. Samuel Redmond oversaw labor negotiations and workforce arrangements connected to newly privatized industries in Vladivostok. During the operation, Morrison remained in Russia against Samuel Redmond’s explicit directive to return to the United States, creating internal disciplinary friction. Following the operation, Samuel Redmond was elevated to the governing board of the M.A.N. Agency as a corrective measure intended to balance Morrison’s growing influence.

Family Developments (2000 - 2006)

John Redmond (2001 - 2006)

Following the September 11 attacks in 2001, Samuel's son John Redmond chose to enlist in the military rather than pursue university education. Samuel Redmond opposed the decision and expressed strong disapproval, having intended for John to continue the family’s academic and industrial legacy. Despite this, Samuel Redmond ultimately respected his son’s choice.

Nontheless, John entered military training in late 2001 and completed basic training before specializing in chemical defense and hazardous materials operations. By 2003, he had qualified for assignment within a Chemical Unit responsible for detection, containment, and response to chemical threats. During an operational deployment in 2006, John Redmond was exposed to hazardous chemical agents in the line of duty. The incident resulted in long-term medical consequences, including infertility. Samuel Redmond was disappointed over the loss of direct biological succession through his eldest son, though he did not publicly distance himself from John.

Lily Redmond (2002)

In 2002, Lily Redmond gave birth to Victor Donovan. Following the birth, Samuel Redmond required Jack Donovan, the father of Victor to marry his daughter, mirroring the circumstances of his own marriage decades earlier. The marriage formalized the relationship and reinforced family expectations regarding legitimacy and continuity. Samuel Redmond later learned that Jack entered services with the FIB.

Jamie Evans (2006)

In early 2006, Beth Redmond’s sister, Monica Evans, gave birth to a daughter, Jamie Evans. Monica Evans was engaged in prostitution at the time of the child’s birth. Shortly after delivery, Monica Evans died due to medical complications.

With no other known relatives willing or able to assume guardianship and the child’s father not listed on the birth certificate, Beth Redmond insisted on taking responsibility for Jamie. Samuel Redmond, then in his early forties, opposed the decision and stated that he did not intend to raise another child at that stage of his life. The disagreement resulted in a prolonged domestic conflict. Beth Redmond informed Samuel Redmond that she would file for divorce if Jamie was not taken into the household. Samuel Redmond ultimately conceded and took Jamie into the Redmond household.

Several months after Jamie’s arrival, Samuel Redmond discovered a private letter written by Monica Evans prior to her death. The letter identified Jamie’s biological father as Dave Morrison, the brother of Alexander Morrison. This information had not been recorded on official documents.

Samuel Redmond chose to withhold this information from both Beth Redmond and Jamie. The revelation intensified his existing rivalry with Alexander Morrison and introduced a personal dimension to the conflict. Samuel Redmond maintained that he held no paternal obligation toward Jamie beyond legal guardianship. His treatment of Jamie was markedly worse and more distant than that afforded to his biological children.

Dissolution of the M.A.N. Agency (2016)

In early 2016, the M.A.N. Agency was disbanded without notice to the governing board, in accordance with an internal dissolution provision invoked by its two senior leaders. The decision was not disclosed in advance to board members, including Samuel. The sudden collapse resulted in organizational fragmentation, widespread defections, and the seizure of Agency assets by subordinate factions. Samuel Redmond remained loyal to the structure of the M.A.N. Agency. As the last Board Member, he unofficially became the de-facto head of the Agency.

Death of Lily Redmond (early-2016)

During this same period, Lily Redmond was employed as an investigative journalist at the Daily Globe. Her reporting focused on corporate malpractice and criminal affiliations within Los Santos. In early 2016, she began investigating Morrison Exports, a company established by Alexander Morrison following his departure from the Agency. Lily Redmond compiled material linking Morrison Exports to organized criminal structures and former M.A.N. Agency networks. Alexander Morrison became aware of the investigation. In response, he authorized an attack on the Daily Globe. The operation resulted in multiple fatalities, including Lily Redmond.

The death of Lily Redmond had a decisive impact on Samuel Redmond. The loss of his only daughter and the knowledge that his grandson Victor Donovan would grow up without his mother altered his strategic posture. Samuel Redmond concluded that Alexander Morrison posed a direct threat not only to institutional stability but to his own family.

After confirming that former board members and operatives, including Alexander Morrison, were attempting to appropriate Agency assets, Samuel Redmond issued an unofficial internal order authorizing the elimination of unloyal and fleeing members. The directive functioned as the final unofficial order of the M.A.N. Agency and was driven in part by personal retaliation for Lily Redmond’s death.

Assassination of Alexander Morrison (mid-2016)

Following Lily Redmond’s death, Samuel Redmond consolidated the remaining loyalist networks of the former M.A.N. Agency. Acting through established contacts and external partners, he authorized a targeted operation against Alexander Morrison.

Pablo Sánchez and José Sánchez were assigned responsibility for the execution. In mid-2016, Alexander Morrison was captured at Eclipse Towers and executed by hanging. The killing was intended both as retribution for Lily Redmond’s death and as a final assertion of authority by the remnants of the Agency’s leadership structure. The assassination ended Alexender's involvement in organized crime and marked the effective conclusion of the internal power struggle that followed the Agency’s dissolution.

Post Agency (end-2016)

Following the final unofficial order and the assassination of Alexander Morrison, Samuel Redmond and the remaining loyalists of the former M.A.N. Agency withdrew from overt organizational activity. Facing institutional scrutiny, internal fragmentation, and the collapse of centralized authority, they entered a period of strategic concealment. The remaining loyalists joined the Redmond Group and followed Samuel Redmond absolute authority.

This withdrawal marked the definitive end of the M.A.N. Agency’s dominance in the State of San Andreas. The centralized structure that had once coordinated labor, industry, and criminal networks ceased to exist as a unified force. In the years that followed, Samuel Redmond avoided rapid expansion, favoring consolidation and long-term positioning within La Mesa and Cypress Flats through Redmond Group and aligned industrial interests.
