After storming out of Paleto Bay, Marty sold his garage box in Paleto Bay in frustration. Unbeknownst to him, Giuseppe quietly bought it back in Marty's name in foreclosure—preparing for the possibility that Marty might one day return.

Marty relocated to Pillbox Hill, where he took up residence in a bar that doubled as his workplace. Emotionally broken, aimless, and without direction, he reached out once again to Alexa Morrison. Alexa, always strategic, recognized an opportunity to regain control over Marty in preparation for his eventual return to Paleto.

At the time, she had already learned of the Marcano family's successful heist of the Diamond Casino. Sensing Marty’s vulnerability, she offered her assistance and together, the two planned another robbery of the casino. The heist was executed smoothly, and Marty walked away with a generous cut.

Following the robbery, things between them quickly turned physical. With the arcade closed for the night, Marty and Alexa hooked up in her Arcade's office—door locked, curtains drawn.

Flush with new funds and still maintaining his acid production, Marty made a significant investment: he purchased the old [[Marty's Garment Factory|Darnell Brothers Garment Factory]] in La Mesa. Despite its sweatshop reputation, it granted him a legitimate and steady income stream, marking the beginning of a new chapter. Marty now started his legitimate [[Darnell Inc]] company. This would provide Marty with his own base of operations, where he could store his Acid Lab and get Morgan over.

Two weeks later, Gianni visited Marty's bar in Pillbox Hill to check in on him. During their conversation, Marty drunkenly confessed that he had been secretly dating Alexa again for the past two weeks. He claimed that she had approached him, though in reality, it had been the other way around.

Concerned, Gianni called Giuseppe, who immediately made his way to the bar. By the time Giuseppe arrived, Marty—now thoroughly drunk—had wandered off, leaving his laptop open and unlocked on the bar. Curious and suspicious, Giuseppe and Gianni peeked at the screen. What they found horrified and shocked them: hidden folders filled with explicit sextapes of Marty and Claire, secretly recorded over the years without Claire's consent and knowledge. Another thing they found was a naked, AI generated image of Alexa stored among his personal files. Gianni, always thinking strategically, copied the altered photo and quietly sent it to Edward McHaggis for potential leverage, should they ever need to counter Alexa’s influence again.
